I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project

This $1.034 billion dollar project was constructed under a design / build contract with Caltrans District 59.  The four-year project involved:

The project consists of highway improvements on SR-110 in downtown Los Angeles, including widening three bridges on the northbound lanes; widening SR-110 to the I-10 West connector; constructing retaining walls, sound walls and barriers; and removing and replacing the 9th Street off-ramp bridge. The project started in July 2010 and is scheduled to be completed in May 2012.

The City of Laguna Beach embarked upon their largest street resurfacing project ever undertaken under this project. The resurfacing of 64 residential streets required close coordination of contractor activities to minimize impact to the traveling public and local residents.
